“ Our chef saved this rating he was so awesome and fun i want to give him a million stars. We had a group of 7 for a birthday and he made so many little jokes and was generous with the sake. The other group combined with ours was a little bit of a dud but he was able to rope them in on the fun too. We made a reservation for 6:00 and weren't allowed to be seated until we were all there. Our party was there at 6:10 and then they gave a pager to join the queue.... we weren't seated until 6:45 which pushed back the night. We were added to the normal walk in queue which was disappointing. we were told they were just cleaning off the table but it still took 30min. I totally understand the pressure of seating people on time but if there was a mixup or they needed more time for the party before to leave that would've made more sense than ignoring the reservation we made a week ago. but again want to reiterate how amazing the chef, food, and staff were once we were seated. Attempting to catch broccoli, pouring sake, tossing an egg in the hat, All of it!! Will warn that if you have an allergy it will be hard to separate it from the cooktop. I got the sweet potato rolls while the group got habachi and it was delish. ”

“ Food + service were amazing tonight. We sat bar side and were seated immediately. Enjoyed a couple cocktails (extremely fair priced) My husband enjoys the sushi, pictured is 4 rolls. A little too much for one person. lol I had the chicken hibachi, more than enough serving size for one person. I love that the hibachi combo comes with salad, soup, veggies, noodles and rice. I ordered extra yum yum sauce. We always enjoy Kyoto. Thanks again. ”

“ Lots of fun. Steak was best part. However, they spilled sake all over my $300 jacket and my friend got hives from the broccoli. Everyone agrees the noodles were better than fried rice. Lastly the launched the sake directly into my friends eye, but he was asking for it ”

“ The portion sizes are wonderful and it's a great time if you sit at the table and enjoy the antics of the chefs when you are served your meal. The food is just as you want it and they make everyone at the table laugh and have a great time, even with the people that you don't know! I have to say it's a fun experience and one of the largest portion sizes for hibachi place in the area. This is not some stuffy location. You'll see all different types of people eating here and they make sure that you enjoy your food and that everything is great for you. The drinks are phenomenal. They have quite a variety of offerings and you will not be disappointed. ”

“ Great food and service. We were seated promptly and had hibachi service in record time. This was despite homecoming weekend, which is impressive. The ambiance is just right, and the drinks were fantastic. The chef and show was entertaining and engaging. Loses a star for noise, and the downside of promptness: rushing the guests. We had less than 3 minutes to order food and drinks, and if you are not eating as food is prepared, you will be handed a takeout box and rushed to make the table available for the next parties. ”

“ This is a classic sushi and hibachi spot that I've been going to for years. They are typically a safe option for walk in and have a fantastic sushi menu. The service is really attentive and the food comes fast. If I'm ever in the Royal Oak area, this is definitely a go to spot for me if I'm craving sushi! ”
